Residence and Office for Dr. Ron Phuky Design: Steve Ondre Builder: Voila’ Construction 1977, Fulford Harbour, British Columbia This house was built on 80 acres using lumber selected, harvested and milled onsite. It features an exposed heavy timber frame with hand cut dovetail joinery, the first concrete tile roof on Saltspring Island, a poured in place sunken roman tub with Roman style water motif designed and installed by Steve. It also has wall mounted gas lighting and plans for a gravity fed water system and Pelton wheel to supply off grid utilities. |
